The Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA-Nepal) has signed a contract for the construction of a 117-kilometer transmission line under the Power Transmission Project of the MCC Nepal Compact.
With this agreement, all construction contracts for the 315-kilometer power transmission line to be built under the MCC Nepal Compact have now been finalized.
The 117-kilometer line will extend from the substation currently under construction in Lapsiphedi to the Hetauda substation in Makawanpur, passing through the Ratmate substation in Nuwakot.
The project contract is valued at USD 766.50 million. The agreement was signed by MCA-Nepal Executive Director Khadga Bahadur Bista and Nirman Gauli, representative of the construction company.
