The price of gold in the domestic market fell sharply by Rs 1,100 per tola on Monday, following last week’s record high.

On Friday, the price had reached a historic peak of Rs 199,400 per tola, marking an all-time high in the Nepali market.

However, the surge was short-lived. Gold prices dropped by Rs 200 per tola on Sunday and continued to fall on Monday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 198,100 per tola, down from Rs 199,200 per tola on Sunday.

The silver market also saw a decline. Silver prices dropped by Rs 15 per tola, from Rs 2,330 on Sunday to Rs 2,315 per tola on Monday.
