Proton e.MAS, the electric vehicle (EV) brand under Shanker Group’s Jagdamba Motors, officially opened its new showroom in Thapathali, Kathmandu. The location, considered the heart of the city’s auto hub, marks the brand’s expanding footprint in Nepal’s growing EV market.

Speaking at the inauguration, Executive Director of Jagdamba Motors, Akhil Gupta, announced plans to open 25 Proton e.MAS showrooms across Nepal under the COCO (Company Owned, Company Operated) model. “This ensures customers receive high-quality service and a premium experience when choosing Proton e.MAS,” said Gupta.

The grand opening was attended by public figures and brand advocates, including singer and music producer Brijesh Shrestha, actor and producer Keki Adhikari, and Jagdamba Motors’ Senior Vice President Raju Bhetwaal. Brijesh Shrestha, also a customer, praised the Proton e.MAS7 for its performance and comfort. “It’s truly an electrifying ride,” he said.

During the event, five Proton e.MAS7 units were delivered to new customers. Among them was Adhikari, who expressed satisfaction with the vehicle, stating, “I fell in love with the car the moment I took the wheel… and knowing it has Shanker Group’s backing gave me complete confidence.”

With showrooms now open in Thapathali and Naxal, the company is positioning Proton e.MAS as a top choice for 4-wheeler EV buyers in Nepal.
