Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to officially unveil the country’s first Deepal Flying Taxi at the opening of the NADA Auto Show 2025 on Tuesday.
The EVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) aircraft, developed by Chinese automaker Changan Auto in collaboration with MAW Vriddhi, will be the main highlight of the exhibition, symbolizing Nepal’s step into futuristic mobility solutions.
For the first time ever in the country, the auto show will also feature life-sized humanoid robots, capable of human-like movements and real-time interaction with visitors.
“NADA Auto Show has always been the stage for presenting breakthrough technologies. This year, the unveiling of Nepal’s first Flying Taxi by the Prime Minister himself is truly a historic achievement,” said Vivek Sikaria, Managing Director of MAW Vriddhi.
Alongside the flying taxi, the event will showcase Deepal and Avatr’s premium EVs, including the newly launched Deepal S05, which has already gained strong traction in Nepal within days of its release. Other models on display will be the S07 ICA, E07, and the ultra-premium Avatr 11, presented at Stalls A1 and A2.
MAW Vriddhi emphasized that these innovations – spanning flying taxis, humanoid robotics, and disruptive EVs – represent a redefinition of Nepal’s mobility landscape, making this year’s NADA Auto Show a milestone in the nation’s journey toward sustainable and advanced transportation.
